Seized Stomp 140

Post by stompdude on Tue Jul 22, 2008 7:55 pm

My Stomp has sort of seized up because it seized, then unseized then seized then unseized again. As you may remember I said before about needing parts, well I only need a kickstart. How much are Piston Rings for them, anyone know? Crying

Is your kickstart jammed solid?

Elliott, if he kickstart is jammed solid then it has seized, so pour a bit of petrol down the head(not loads a little bit) and hopefully it should free up the insides that has seized up.

What you need to do is to take the Top End (Barrel) off and see if the piston can move up and down freely. If it is jammed you need to split the engine cases and get the engine rebuilt.
But to be honest its probably more financially viable to just buy a new engine.

Oh and if you don't know alot about engines or how to rebuild it, you would probably be better off taking it to a mechanic. But as I said it would be cheaper to just buy a new engine and sell the seized one for spares.

I dont apreciate you calling my bike Evil For your information, atlest my engine is still running correctly and does not keep seizing because mine has always got oil in it :)

lol didnt mean t osound cocky m8 yeh i no yours is stil running but in thery if mine was running then it would be more reliable than a lifan and yx are better than lifan so if i had a crf 50 and you had a stom p140 the crf 50 would be better and the stomp would be crap and also m8 i only put oil in the thing last month and i dont clean my dipstick but anywas i am getting new piston rings for it now
